Abstract

Observations of snow cover recorded at three stations in snow bound areas of northwest Kashmir for the period 1973-77 have been analysed with the aim to bring out (i) variability of fresh snow density with ambient temperature and time and its effect on water equivalent and (ii) variability of snow cover density with depth, slope orientation and different winter months.
