Abstract

Based upon the author's previous work on ionospheric propagation, this paper describes new theoretical and technical methods of measuring and evaluating propagation paths over large distances. Following a detailed treatment of analysis by attenuation measurements and path diagrams, essential aspects of ionospheric path recorders are discussed with reference to modernized design and transistorization.
