Equatorial enhancement of geomagnetic field in the Indian Region

Abstract

Equatorial enhancement of the geomagnetic field in the Indian region for different phenomena is examined. The enhancement in H is found to be nearly of the same magnitude as for the Sq ranges in H indicating that the immediate source of the phenomena that get enhanced is located in the same region of the ionosphere as the Sq currents.
