Abstract

A programme of work has been undertaken to study the role of atmospheric carboa dioxide (CO2) in the radiation budget over India. The total mass of air over India has been calculated monthwise. Adopting the mixing ratio values of CO2 over Mouna Loa (Hawaii), the likely monthly variation of the mass of CO2 over India has been estimated. The values obtained are presented.
